Hello,
Currently I'm running nginx server with FASTCGI PHP extension is it possible to run CSEO on my site? Do You need any extensions? I've heard that with SEO site is much slower - is it true? How can I check if performance with CSEO will be sufficient for my site? Is it possible to run such addons: gallery, parachat, wiki - inviki 1.1.0 and blog? Thanks in advance. |

CommunitySEO supports the invision components (blog, gallery and downloads). In general, the speed differences are not noticeable (for example, Invisionize is huge and they recently installed the software, and the site's running great).
I am not familiar with nginx, however. The method PHP executes shouldn't matter. nginx says it has a rewrite module: http://nginx.net/. The only problem is, I don't know what syntax it expects, so we may have to spend some time working on it, and I can't really guarantee anything right now regarding the rewrite module because I'm not familiar with the server. |

could we do some trial before real contract?
what about inwiki? the problem may be with ioncube and xCache - I've heard that they are not compatible, and the performance can go down do You have any experience? regards, YacentY This post has been edited by yacenty: Dec 13 2007, 10:50 AM |

the problem may be with ioncube and xCache - I've heard that they are not compatible, and the performance can go down do You have any experience? This is simply not true, where did you hear that IonCube and xCache are incompatible? Zend Optimizer and Extension Manager are incompatible with xCache, NOT IonCube. I have a large forum (900k posts) and my server is running xCache with IonCube (obvisouly, since I'm using CSEO and it is IonCube encoded). I get far better performance using xCache than I did with eAccelerator which is what I used before. No I can't use Zend encoded scripts but I don't have any that I need to run so it isn't a big deal for me. Performance and compatibility certainly isn't an issue with an IonCube and xCache combination however. |

ok, I've found that it's possible to run this 2 extensions.
So there is general question - is it possible to prepare rules for nginx rewrite module? I've read that functionality of this module is similiar to apaches but little differences in syntax. So I will wait for the answer - mainly from admin. Thanks in advance, BR YacentY |

We actually have the rules converted for lighttpd mod rewrite module, and a couple different IIS mod rewrite modules. I don't think it would be too difficult to convert them for nginx.

I'm afraid there's no way to "try" it on your server, other than to purchase the software and move forward. We're generous enough about refunds that if it doesn't work for some reason we'll issue one, but we don't have any trial copies of the software at this time that you would be able to install.
