We have (after several "internal" releases that didn't work out so well) finally got a package we feel resolves the various bugs reported by our users, especially with search. We've upgraded to IPB 3.0.5 and CSEO 2.0.4 here on communityseo.com for testing.

Please take a few moments to test out the new release and verify any bug fixes you are waiting for are properly resolved. We have specifically focused on invalid characters in the URL (gallery links failing, search links with date filters failing) and search issues (selecting forum or date filters causing problems, and searching with special characters).

If no further issues are reported, we will release CSEO 2.0.4 either Sunday Jan 24 or Monday Jan 25.

Good catch, I remember the same thing happening before with the version number not being updated. :P

I will test what I can tomorrow, I never really noticed many issues other than a small issue here and there. Then again I'm not that observant and usually my staff and members report if there is a problem somewhere.<br><br>By tomorrow I mean later today, blame my sleep schedule, insomnia, being up through the night and sleeping most of the day away.. :(<br>

Ah, yes, the legendary version number. I always forget to update that.

I could have the script read the XML file to get the latest version number, but it would use more resources, so I hardcode it into a file....then forget to update it.

I wanted to point out something I don't think has been reported yet..

The automatic title fetcher isn't fetching the titles for some links, there is no problem on another forum I visit that uses Vbulletin and VbSEO, this tells me that the automatic page title fetching feature for CSEO still needs a bit of work.

Does it support all the new application releases, such as IP Downloads 2.10?

i have the bug, that when i try to merge topics, it'll fail when i use the full URL. It only works if i use the naked topic ID.
Does 3.05 resolve this bug?

This only happens when you link to something that a "guest" cannot visit. If I link to a page in our customer-only forums, then when the script attempts to grab the page title for that link, it ends up on an error page. Because the error page issues a 404 error typically, the script does not read the page title (which would simply be "Board Error" or whatever IPB uses anyways).

This isn't a bug.

I have not tested the new applications. I'm more concerned with fixing the currently reported bugs (specifically with search) first.

I have not changed anything that would fix this issue, if it exists. You should report it as a bug to the proper forum.

Is it safe to assume then, by the fact I've gotten replies to this topic, that you guys are not seeing the bugs I've fixed in this release present on this site? I'm trying to give everyone a chance to test the fixes before I release this update, to avoid the problems we had last time. I'll give everyone another day to make sure, and will put the release up tomorrow, assuming no one points out any problems.

Well I meant external links that are publicly accessible to everyone, but I'll open up a separate thread/issue for that.

I can't really provide much feedback as I haven't notice any problems besides the gallery/blog which is not installed here. My forum is not all that busy so I'm not aware of most of the other issues that were reported.

So I take it no issues were reported, and we are almost into next day after the day 2.0.4 was supposed to be released.

is this a bug or redirect issue?
While viewing the calendar in ipb 3.0.5 and CommunitySeo 2.0.4,
I noticed that when I try Try: <------previous month or Next month ----> it redirects me to main index
Selecting a month does work in the drop down box.
Also if you select a "calendar to view" it redirects to main index.
( I disabled CommunitySEO by removing the serial key and it works)
Thanks

This was posted and confirmed in the bug area.

Submit a big report in the proper area so it can be addressed easier. it does the same thing here as well.

If removing the key allows it to function properly, it's most likely a bug in CommunitySEO and should be submitted to our bugs area.
