We are looking for beta testers.

We have decided to release CommunitySEO for IPB Beta 1 to a small group of testers to begin getting feedback on the module. The beta testers will be given a free 1 year license for CommunitySEO upon final release of the software in exchange for their time.

We are looking for detailed feedback regarding ease of installation, use, and configuration of the software, as well as general feedback about how it has affected your site in terms of both search engine placement and general traffic to your site. We reserver the right to receive from you a written testimonial about your views of the software during the testing stages. Beta testers will be placed in the customer group, and will have access to customer-only areas of the site.

CommunitySEO for IPB is ionCube encoded, and is locked to the specific installation you supply. CommunitySEO requires a license key to run, and one will be provided to each of the testers under the 1 year license. You must be able to do one of the following in order to use the software:
  • Run ionCube encoded scripts on your server already
  • Be able to modify your php.ini to load the included ionCube loader
  • Use the php "dl" function to load the included ionCube loader (enable_dl must be set to "true" or "1" in php.ini, and there must be no other server/permission restrictions preventing you from dynamically loading the libraries)
Additionally, the following requirements apply:
  • You must have PHP and MySQL installed on your server. PHP 4.3+ and MySQL 4.0+ recommended.
  • You must be using Invision Power Board v 2.1 or 2.2.
  • Apache 1.3+, preferably with mod_rewrite installed (Note that the mod_rewrite functionality of the software must be disabled in the ACP if not using Apache w/ mod_rewrite installed)
If you are interested in testing the software, please send a private message to admin. I will need the following information from you in your private message:
  • The exact url to your forum installation that you will be testing the software on. Please note also the following:
    • The license key provided will only work on the domain/subdomain you supply, and will only work in the path you supply.
    • You will not be permitted to move the software to another installation or folder.
    • The software is still in beta stages, and limited support will be provided. We are looking for feedback and bug reports primarily at this point.

  • The PHP version installed on your server
  • The PCRE version installed on your server (can be obtained from phpinfo() output)
  • The MySQL version used on your server
  • The IPB version installed on your server
  • The web server software and version installed on your server (if using Apache, also whether mod_rewrite is available)
  • Operating System installed on your server

We have accepted enough beta testers that we are not looking for any more at this time.

Thanks to everyone who applied!
