CommunitySEO 2.0.2 is available in your client area for immediate download. Version 2.0.2 fixes some bugs reported since 2.0.1, including

  • Certain special characters in topic titles or searches would cause infinite loop redirects
  • Page titles pulled automatically from posted urls in different character sets could cause ? characters
  • Non-alphanumeric characters in meta keywords tags would be stripped entirely

We have also nailed down the cause of the tasks getting disabled to a couple bugs in IPB. Details on how to patch your installation can be found here: http://communityseo....-IPB-t9219.html

To upgrade from 2.0.1 simply upload the upload/admin/ folder to your site, and then run the normal IPB upgrade routine (/admin/upgrade/).

I will check your ticket shortly.

This is a really really annoying issue that I wish I could find some way around, but can't seem to. IPB rebuilds the furl cache automatically during the upgrade routine, but it doesn't load the hook I have in place, so it uses the default function instead of my custom one. I should get around to posting on their forum asking if they could change that to honor the hooks in place.

It is against the IPS license to send pre-modified files, so we can't allow that here. If it weren't, I'd distribute the file edits myself.

That's against IPS TOS unfortunately.

I don't want to come across as ungrateful, But I have been dealing with cSEO since the upgrade to 3.0 on my site, all other stuff is complete and all my troubles are now with this...

Guys, I know you can not live on the site and provide support... but maybe until it is solid and glitch free, you could put in a little more effort for us customers that have been around a long time and have used this product and need it to function...

Ok I admit I'm pretty P.O. just tired of dealing with this.. Let just get it done.... sorry ... if I have offended people here...

Thanks Dean

I just installed a simple mod, and had to re do FURLS again... Found out through an email my site was down and no one could page the topics anymore....

I have submitted a ticket with all my info... please check board or email me if you tweak

Dear Dean,

First of all, you're placing your problems in the News section where admin should provide any announcements regarding the development of a products line. You've got a separate customer-to-customer forum where you can place your issues.

Secondly, support forums - in definition - is the place where customers are willing to devote their free time in order to provide help to other with issues they have already solved or know an answer to. If nobody is replying to your comments, then it means that probably access to ACP or FTP is needed or it cannot be solved without knowing the structure of the encoded files.

Finally, if you expect admin's help, you should submit a separate ticket. Of course, it may last longer than the c2c support but the answer is always there and you may be sure that your problem will be fixed.

So consider once more what you expect to get in here. Please, do not find my post as an offending one. It's just for a clarification to many users of the CSEO ;)

I have been putting out relatively frequent updates over the last couple of weeks in an attempt to get all the small issues that have been found sorted out.

Oct 6: RC5
Oct 25: Final
Oct 26: 2.0.1
Nov 2: 2.0.2

It's not like we're not working on the software and releasing updates and bug fixes that are reported.

As for the furl cache getting lost, that's a problem with regards to the way IPB works, though I couldn't even really call it a bug in IPB. I'll probably have to provide file modification instructions to correct the problem.

Your page for this product still says 'Supports Invision Power Board versions 2.2.x, and 2.3.x'

Should it not say IPB 3.x ?

CSEO installed but when I post a topic in which the BBcode get the error:

503 Service Unavailable The server is temporarily busy, try again later! Powered By LiteSpeed Web Server
LiteSpeed Technologies is not responsible for administration and contents of this web site!

If the content is not BBcode it all works without complaints. Pozatym volunteered to google sitemap, index and profiles added correctly in the other I error.
