We are currently in the process of beta testing version 1.2.3 of CommunitySEO. This version fixes several bugs reported in previous versions and will likely be the last version of CommunitySEO before IPB 3.0 is released (based on official time lines released by IPS).

We are doing everything in our power to ensure there are as few bugs as possible upon release to you, our customers. Our site here has been upgraded to v1.2.3 and we will be running some tests over the next few days to verify we're not seeing any new issues, and to verify the fixed issues are fixed.

If you would like to volunteer to test 1.2.3 on your site, we would be happy to set you up with the new version. Simply submit a ticket and we will provide you with version 1.2.3 so you can upload it to your site to verify any issues relevant to you have been resolved.

Thank you for your patience while we work to ensure as stable a release as possible.

AWESOME. I just wish Invision would release the software so development can begin on all things on hold for everyone.

Yes, it should be, but as I don't have more than 50,000 images I really need someone (such as yourself) to test this more. I botched an image id in the database and forced it into a new file, but more testing is definitely needed.

I did reply to your ticket as well.

Quick update -

We ran into some issues with one of the updated features, but looks like we've got them all sorted out now. I'm waiting on confirmation from the customer who was helping test the new functionality, but assuming I get a thumbs up I'm hoping to release tomorrow or the day after. smile.gif

yacenty has run into a minor snag that I'd like to troubleshoot before releasing the update, just so everyone knows where we are at. We're restarting the sitemap file now to see if the issue happens again or if it was a one off issue.

Contrary to popular belief, we do take the time to try to iron out all possible bugs before released. wink.gif Hopefully not more than a day or two longer, depending on the results of the current test.

Keep up the good work!

Question: Will the upgrade require any IP.Board file edits, or it is just to replace the current CSEO files?

Hey does this cover the sitemap issue that google has with profiles all having the same priority?

QUOTE
All the URLs in your Sitemap have the same priority.
All the URLs in your Sitemap are set to the same priority (not the default priority). Priority indicates the importance of a particular URL relative to other URLs on your site, and doesn't impact your site's performance in search results. If all URLs have the same priority, Google can't tell which are more important.

This upgrade will not require any new file edits.

Ummm... Has this been addressed before or is it the first time being brought up? I guess I'm curious if you do know of this and is it something being worked on or not currently possible?

My thoughts was to add value to completed profiles or atleast those with x amount of posts, a image and etc in whatever order seems feasible, what are your thoughts?

When we originally wrote the sitemap feature and included the ability to set this value, this was when sitemaps were rebuilt regularly. So the value could change based on various factors.

Now, sitemaps are only built once and then not really updated, so there's no real way to "fix", for instance, the priority value. We could update the code to set different values, and then you have you rebuild the sitemap from scratch, but that doesn't fix the issue in my mind. In order to set priority appropriately, we need to update entries in the sitemap that already exist on a regular basis. This is something I hope to address when we start working on version 2.

hhi,

How's it going? Are you still having any issues or concerns you'd like to bring up, or does everything seem to be okay on your end?
