By default, CommunitySEO only adds the special meta and link tags to the installed Spider Skin.

To add the tags to other skins:
  • Login to your Admin Control Panel
  • Navigate to Look & Feel
  • Click the button to the right of the skin you wish to add the links to and select 'Edit Board Header and Footer Wrapper'
  • Inside the head html tag add the following tags: 
    <!--META_TAGS-->

  • Click 'Save Wrapper'

I added the tag as shown but now when viewing page source it shows <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />

Is CommunitySEO working? Do you have any meta tags enabled?
