Yes, CommunitySEO is encoded using ioncube, a popular php-script encoder.
We have no immediate plans to support Zend-encoding, unless the cost to benefit ratio of doing so changes in the future. ioncube runtime loaders can be loaded at runtime on most hosts, requiring your host to make no configuration changes, and many hosts support ioncube out of the box (for example, IPS themselves support ioncube by default). The source-code is not publicly viewable. |

It is doubtful at this time. Demand has been low (we've had very few specific requests for it), and it is a lot more expensive investment to get the Zend encoder product.
