Hello,

well, I'm building a community website actually, and I'd like to base it on Invision Power products : IP.Board, IP.Blogs, IP.Download and IP.Gallery.

I'd like to know what do you think about their "SEO" part : are they (enough) Search Engine Optimized ?

I've seen, for example, that pictures in the galleries are renamed, their path is not such good, their "alt" attribute is not good etc.
Example : http://example.com/gallery/1188218670/gall...2_17_385646.jpg is not a good name nor a good path to define what the picture is about.

So, again : are they (enough) Search Engine Optimized ?
Plus : what does CSEO adds to IP.Blogs, IP.Download and IP.Gallery ? (in terms of SEO)

Hello,

everything is in the title : IPB 3.0 will arrive soon (in few months - before the end of 2008).

Search engine friendly URLs will not only make your community more interesting to search engine spiders but allow for more human-friendly linking.

Hello,

like "to be or not to be", the question here is To mod_rewrite or Not to mod_rewrite ?

I've just read an article on The Admin Zone which is a good resource for community forums owner. The article is named : To mod_rewrite or Not to mod_rewrite and if i'm posting it here it's because I'd like to know what customers think about it, on one hand, and what IPB SEO developpers could say, on a second hand.

Well, tell us your opinion please wink.gif

Hello,

I would be interested in purchasing "Ad-Revenue Sharing Module" but I have several questions :
  • Is it compatible with V22-Google Adsense Bot v1.1.4 or does it do the same ?
  • Is it compliant to Adsense TOS (Terms Of Services) ? Have you ever asked them ? (it should if only one adsense account is displayed)
  • Does the module is still "alive" = developpment is active, you look sometimes if there are some bugs or security issues, new version is planned etc.
  • I've ordered a specific design for my forum. The design will have a left sidebar (on each page, also topic view etc.) which will contain a menu, few info and a 160x600 banner ads (skyscrapper). This ad will be directly in the theme/skin/design. Does the Ad-Revenue Sharing module will work with it ? Will it changes automatically the Adsense publisher ID ? How ?

I actually don't have other questions smile.gif
Thanks by advance !

PS : Merry Christmas wink.gif
